A.C.R.E.M. - NSW was formed in
1997 when Members of ACRM (NSW) and ACREM "merged" to form a single
group. ACRM was first formed around 1974 to help petition for the
legalisation of CB in Australia, and later to provide an emergency
communications group for the growing CB community. ACREM was formed when
ACRM Queensland added the word "Emergency" to the name.
A.C.R.E.M. - NSW Monitors utilise a callsign that consists of the acronym of the
organisations name (ACREM) followed by a unique number that identifies the
Monitor and the NSW Zone of that Monitor.
A.C.R.E.M. - NSW is a PUBLIC BENEVOLENT INSTITUTION and is endorsed by the
Commissioner of Taxation as an Income Tax Exempt Charity and a Deductible Gift
Recipient. This means that donations or gifts to the value of $2 or more
are tax deductible. We receive absolutely NO government or corporate
backing or sponsorship and ALL funds necessary to continue operations must be
raised by our Members.
