THE NORTHSIDE RADIO ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED

The Northside Radio Association originated from the ashes of an informal group of Cber's in Perth's Northern suburbs, who once occupied CH23 UHF Cb (before the ACA took it against our will for data transmissions.)
We often used the disued and abused PER01 Repeater in Wanneroo, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.
After one group outing we finally took the plunge and on the 20th March 2003, The Northside Radio Association concept was born.
We purchased PER01 and repaired and restored it to its former glory before putting it back into operation on the 28th of April 2003.
On the 1st of May 2003 we became officially incorporated as an Association. and have grown from there to where we are today.
The group is mainly spread over the northern suburbs of Perth, however the repeaters reach is far further and with the introduction of our live feed to SYD07 in Sydney adds yet another aspect to our reach.
The Northside Radio Association is a non-profit, volunteer Association that is incorporated. To further the interests and common goals of Citizen Band, UHF Radio Operators in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.
Our goals are to maintain the channel 1 repeater, PER01 at Wanneroo and ensure its future operation and to also raise awareness of Citizen Band Radio in the northern suburbs and gain further membership to support the channel 1 repeater.
Membership is open to any one really who has the same common goals and interests as the rest of the Association, currently the membership fee is $10.00 per year.
At present membership fees go towards the running and maintenance of PER01 and the costs involved with everything associated with it and the incorporation.
In the future we hope to provide membership cards that can hopefully be used to gain discounts at specialist friends of The NRA.
The group also often attends social gatherings, in particular movie nights and meetings.
