There is always a great turnover in repeater stations around Australia. Some become permanently non-operational, others are non-operational as a result of maintenance, while some repeaters operate on a temporary basis or for a restricted length of time in any given period.

It also true to say that any repeaters that are licenced by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) do not necessarily indicate an operational status mode for that repeater. Likewise there are repeaters operating that are not listed as licenced with the ACA.

For these reasons, any repeater list published will always be out of date before the "ink has time to dry." As a result, to maintain any UHF CB repeater list in an up-to-date manner, requires the co-operation of repeater owners and local users. If you feel ACBRO's repeater list is in need of alterations made to it, please forward them to ACBRO via email, fax or post. Your assistance will be gratefully appreciated and acknowledged. Thank You.

It is ACBRO's policy to maintain and update this repeater list to ensure it is reasonably up-to-date. Repeaters that have not been operational for a very long period of time may eventually be deleted from the list, (until made operational again) thus the absence of any repeater locations.

Please click on to one of the following Australian States or Territories for the location and status of any repeater.

ACBRO expresses its thanks to the following for their assistance in compiling and maintaining its repeater list on a regular basis:

TropiNet is a consultancy, specializing in Computer Networks, Automation, Systems Programming and Internet Gateways and Firewalls. Tropinet develop customized systems for clients based on the highly flexible and extremely stable FreeBSD operating system, and can rapidly develop software using the Perl programming language.

ACBRO are proud to announce an association with TropiNet in collating a comprehensive UHF CB Radio Repeater List.

TropiNet's proprietor, Nigel Gorry  has developed the ultimate list of Australian UHF repeaters, with a map showing each repeater's location. You can also click on a region and see all repeaters in that region. Visit Nigel's Repeater Site at Australian UHF Repeater List

The combined ACBRO and TropiNet UHF CB Radio Repeater Lists now provide for a comprehensive, up-to-date listing of all Australian Repeaters which are updated on a regular basis.
